Dean is suited up, padded and ready to go swimming off the back of the boat. We anchored off Maumee Bay State Park beach and swam around the boat for awhile. The water was great and warm already. He takes to water like a fish. He had to be coaxed to jump off the swim platform at first. When he did it was like he does it everday. With his "swim coat" and swimmies he stayed above water easily. He has the kicking and arm paddling down. He is such a sport. Later Rick allowed him to steer the boat and was heard to be actually teaching him about compass readings and how to steer into the waves.
Don't you love his look?! His cool surfer pants went flying off the back of the boat as it was lying out to dry. As it went flying past his face, he just looked around asking what was that. When told it was his swimming trunks he just gave us this disgusted look.
